Seven technology and operational domains — sensors, identification, software, AI, physical infrastructure, aviation, and institutional workflows — designed to operate as a single continuous record from origin stable to destination venue.
It is a proposed integration architecture — seven distinct technology and operational domains, designed to operate as a continuous record across the full equine movement chain. Each domain addresses a gap that exists when the horse moves between systems that were not designed to talk to each other.
The integration of all seven layers is what creates the continuous record.
Each domain — BIOPASS ID → COMPLY → EXPRESS → FASTGATE → LAT → LEET → institutional workflows — is designed to hand off to the next without breaking the chain of custody or the identity record.
The gap appears when the horse moves between them. BIOPASS is designed to span those transitions.
PROVIDES
Compliance documentation or records management
THE GAP BIOPASS ADDRESSES
No physical checkpoint layer, no chain-of-custody hardware, no transport integration — documentation exists in isolation from the movement it describes
PROVIDES
An RFID reader or biometric scanner
THE GAP BIOPASS ADDRESSES
No software stack to process the read, no compliance engine to act on it, no transport network to carry the result forward
PROVIDES
Horse transport by air or ground
THE GAP BIOPASS ADDRESSES
No identity architecture, no compliance documentation engine, no chain-of-custody record that travels with the animal across jurisdictions
PROVIDES
Health records and clinical history
THE GAP BIOPASS ADDRESSES
No physical checkpoints, no transport integration, no compliance mapping against the destination jurisdiction's import requirements
PROVIDES
Competition registration and passport records
THE GAP BIOPASS ADDRESSES
Scoped to competition identity — not designed to span the full movement corridor from origin stable to destination venue and back
The proposed BIOPASS architecture is designed to connect biometric hardware, compliance software, conformity-assessment infrastructure, physical facilities, aviation operations and enterprise intelligence capabilities — into a single continuous chain of custody.
LAYER 01 — BIOLOGICAL IDENTITY
BIOPASS is developing a device-agnostic equine identity-continuity architecture capable of interoperating with approved electronic identification, veterinary confirmation and authorized institutional records. Specific device integrations remain subject to technical validation, commercial authorization and definitive agreement. Where authorized interfaces and permissions are available, BIOPASS EXPRESS may reference relevant FEI EquiPass participant and horse information for authorized FEI workflows. FEI records remain within a separate identity namespace and are not merged into LEGACY/APPA horse master records. FEI remains authoritative for FEI registration, passport, ownership and competition records.

Individual horse identification and authorized digital health and travel records designed for interoperability with approved electronic equine-identification technologies. Specific device integrations remain subject to technical validation, commercial authorization and definitive agreements.
Digital identity architecture designed to support persistent identity continuity throughout the authorized movement lifecycle — linked to ownership, breeding lineage, competition history and regulatory standing where authorized integrations are in place.
Subject to validation, compatible sensor inputs may support authorized veterinary review and operational welfare monitoring. BIOPASS does not diagnose disease or replace veterinary judgment.
Jurisdiction-portable veterinary record architecture — designed to support vaccinations, treatments, quarantine events and health certificates anchored to the biological identity, subject to authorized data access and integration agreements.
LAYER 02 — BIOPASS DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE
The digital operating layer designed to support compliance workflows, documentation generation and custody transfer. BIOPASS is pursuing prospective regulatory engagement to position this architecture as documentation and evidence capable of supporting authorized decision-making by veterinary, customs and institutional authorities.

End-to-end chain-of-custody documentation architecture. Every handoff — stall to vehicle, vehicle to terminal, terminal to aircraft — is designed to be recorded, timestamped and auditable.

Requirements-mapping and compliance-support monitoring architecture. Designed to track health certificates, quarantine status and regulatory documentation across multiple jurisdictions, subject to jurisdiction-specific requirements and authorized data access.

BIOPASS DIGICERT™ is being developed as a verifiable digital evidence and credential layer capable of supporting authorized federation, veterinary and regulatory workflows where integrations and legal frameworks permit. It does not replace government-issued health certificates or regulatory authorizations.
Every physical transition generates a digital event. Every digital event is logged, signed, and auditable — creating an unbroken chain from origin to destination.
LAYER 03 — INTELLIGENT PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
BIOPASS is developing physical checkpoint and transport hardware designed to associate identity, documentation and sensor inputs at the point of contact. All hardware capabilities described below represent design objectives and prototype development targets subject to independent technical and veterinary validation.
FASTGATE™ is being developed to associate authorized identity, documentation and sensor inputs within a controlled checkpoint workflow. Read reliability, processing time, throughput and exception handling remain subject to prototype validation.
In-motion identity and documentation pre-processing system designed for higher-throughput environments. Verification performance and animal welfare compatibility remain subject to prototype and veterinary validation.
Aircraft loading ramp system designed with integrated identity verification and chain-of-custody handoff capability — the proposed interface between ground and air operations, subject to aviation authority and operator authorization.
Proprietary biosecure transport module concept. Climate control, monitoring and biosecurity specifications remain subject to engineering validation and conformity assessment.
Biosecurity containment and decontamination system concept designed for deployment at conformity-ready terminals and checkpoints, subject to institutional biosecurity authority approval.
BIOPASS-conformity-ready ground facility architecture designed to support institutional biosecurity standards for intake, quarantine, health inspection and custody transfer. Terminal facilities are under conformity development — not yet operational.
LAYER 04 — TRANSPORTATION NETWORK
Physical movement infrastructure — proposed, conformity-ready, and designed to operate under the BIOPASS compliance standard. The intended business model is a network in which every carrier, vehicle and terminal becomes a verified node in the chain of custody following validation, authorization and commercial deployment.
Luxury Animal Transport — the proposed BIOPASS-affiliated air and ground transport operation. The intended model provides direct control over critical journey legs with full chain-of-custody accountability, subject to regulatory authorization and operational deployment.
A proposed network of airline and logistics partners working toward BIOPASS conformity standards — designed to extend the compliant transport network globally. Carrier relationships are prospective and subject to commercial agreement and conformity assessment.
BIOPOD™-equipped ground transport vehicles designed to BIOPASS biosecurity standards — the proposed first and last mile of every conformant equine movement, subject to conformity validation.
BIOPASS-conformity-ready terminal architecture proposed for major equine transport hubs worldwide — the intended physical nodes of the global compliance network, under conformity development.
LAYER 05 — ENTERPRISE INTELLIGENCE
LEET SYSTEMS™ is being developed as the enterprise intelligence layer designed to connect every component of the BIOPASS stack into a unified operational picture. Following deployment, the intended function is mission-control visibility for the global equine mobility infrastructure.
The LEET™ Integrated Enterprise Operating System (IEOS) — a proposed SaaS platform designed to give institutional operators, governing bodies and logistics coordinators unified visibility across the BIOPASS stack, subject to deployment and institutional authorization.
Proposed operational dashboard designed to give authorized operators a unified view of every animal, every movement and every compliance event across the network — following deployment and authorized integration.
Institutional-grade analytics architecture designed to support movement pattern analysis, compliance performance review, certification velocity and network utilization — the proposed data layer for strategic decision-making.
Proposed biosecurity risk-modeling capability designed to identify potential compliance gaps, quarantine risks and documentation deficiencies before they become operational incidents — subject to validation and deployment.
AI-assisted operational intelligence architecture designed to support routing optimization, clearance timeline projection and actionable insight generation across the movement chain — subject to technical validation and deployment.
Every layer of the BIOPASS stack creates a dependency that makes the others more valuable. Identity enables compliance. Compliance enables certification. Certification enables transport. Transport generates data. Data feeds intelligence. Intelligence optimizes the entire stack.
COMPOUNDING ARCHITECTURE
Each layer is designed to add operational dependency. An operator who adopts the BIOPASS identity architecture, FASTGATE™ and LEET SYSTEMS™ builds workflows across all three — creating durable integration depth as the platform matures.
MULTI-LAYER REVENUE ARCHITECTURE
Following validation, authorization and commercial deployment, an enrolled movement may support multiple potential revenue events across identity verification, documentation, certification-support, logistics coordination and authorized data services.
INFRASTRUCTURE OBJECTIVE
The long-term objective is to become a trusted, interoperable infrastructure standard that institutions and industry participants may adopt based on independently validated performance, operational value and regulatory compatibility.
